About Me
Hi, I’m Daniel. I’m a father, a business owner, and someone learning to navigate the complexities of life after a recent adult diagnosis of ADHD, following a history of mental health challenges. It’s been a journey of ups and downs, but I’m learning to be kinder to myself as I go, showing up each day with the best I can offer.
Family and relationships are at the core of everything I do. Growing up, my childhood was complicated, to say the least. My parents, as immigrants, lived a life rooted in survival, leaving little room for creativity or self-expression. Now, as a father, I feel blessed to be in a position where I can show my daughter that life can be vibrant, full of self-expression, and unapologetically authentic. I want her to know it’s okay to follow what makes her happy and to embrace who she truly is.
Part of why I created this space is for her too. One day, when she’s older and curious about who her father was, I hope she can look back at apceofmnd and find a little piece of me here—a digital footprint filled with my thoughts, stories, and reflections on life.
My small business, Ripple Coffee, has been a cornerstone of my life over the past three years. It’s become more than just a cafe to me—it’s a space for connection, community, and witnessing life’s little moments unfold. Watching people gather, share stories, and create memories over coffee reminds me why I do what I do. It’s humble, honest work that allows me to facilitate these everyday joys. It’s not always easy, but it’s deeply meaningful.
When I’m not at the shop, I’m with my family. Those moments—laughing, making memories, and simply being present—keep me grounded. I also have a long-standing love for photography; it’s my way of expressing what I can’t always put into words.
This space, apceofmnd, is my little corner of the internet where I reconnect with myself. Over the past three years of building Ripple, I’ve had little time for self-care and lost my creative spark along the way. This space isn’t about being perfect or having everything figured out—it’s about sharing my thoughts, finding peace, and rediscovering myself. If something here resonates with you, that’s wonderful. If not, that’s okay too. This is just me, trying to make sense of it all.
And a fun fact about me? I have a soft spot for gummy Coke bottles. They’re my guilty pleasure, even though I always regret eating too many. It’s a small, sweet reminder that I’m human—figuring things out one step at a time.
Thanks for being here.
